Finger-snapping music! Perry O'Parson (presented by Hanse Song Festival) is committed to an all-embracing, ponderous, catchy sound somewhere between Americana, indie rock and singer-songwriter. He wears his heart on his sleeve in his songs, and with his raspy voice he creates a special atmosphere reminiscent of highways, desert bars, sweeping plains and the melancholy side of freedom – combined with illustrious stories on the genesis of his songs. A truly captivating experience! Perry is in fact an old friend of the Hanse Song Festival. Taking place each year in spring, this innovative festival in the Hamburg Metropolitan Region – or, more specifically, in the Hanseatic town of Stade – has been around for five years. The Hanse Song Festival features selected artists on six different stages and offers everything from wonderful sounds and alluring lyrics to a magical atmosphere – for all concerts are held across the historic town centre.

"Alexandra is 25 and has dropped out of her training as an insurance clerk. On a whim, she takes on a job as a taxi driver that takes her on a journey through the Hamburg nights – in the middle of the 1980s. The sound is tough, the pubs are dark, everyone is constantly smoking, and everything and anything is being discussed. And then there is Marc and his steadfast love for Alex. A supposedly small man at 1.35 metres, Marc is in fact a big man – who gets closer to Alex than she would like to admit as she tries to keep up her hard exterior…" Filmförderung Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein presents the German comedy “Taxi”, directed by Kerstin Ahlrichs and based on Karen Duve’s best-selling novel of the same name, starring Rosalie Thomass and Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones) and many others. Sit back and enjoy great footage of Hamburg, for this is where this movie was shot. The film will of course be screened with English subtitles. | Photo: 2014 by Georges Pauly and B&T Film GmbH
